How Sir Jeng Spins Solo’s Murder Story in Editorial — by Musa Saidykhan — June 30, 2016 Sir Jeng Saihou Jeng talking on the phone Saihou Omar Jeng, alias Sir Jeng, is the current Director of Operations of the National Intelligence Agency. He is a Kaur native who supervised the brutal torture of peaceful opposition protesters, resulting to the murder of Ebrima Solo Sandeng on April 15th. Even vulnerable married women were not spared the torture. These women have had their honour and respect removed. They were beaten to coma while some of them peed blood. Yet the innocent mothers were denied specialist treatment by a government that claims to have championed women’s rights, with its leader bad-mouthing men for mistreating their wives. Sir Jeng’s name featured on sworn court affidavits as the coordinator of April 14th protesters. In fact, he had signed Solo Sandeng’s death certificate and the government’s reply to defence lawyers’ habeas corpus application, demanding the government to produce Mr. Sandeng. One of the torture victims, Nogoi Njie recalled Jeng’s role on the night of her torture. In her affidavit, she said, “I held onto NIA officer named Sheikh [Saihou] Omar Jeng, alias Sir Jeng, who was present and asked him to help me so that I won’t get killed and he said to them “leave her alone, I will bring her, you go”. They then left me and waited aside while I sat down at the bottom of the stairs of the said storey building holding onto Sheikh Omar Jeng asking him to help me so that they won’t kill me. He then pulled me up and walked away with me when the said men in mask started shouting out that they will not take this nonsense from Sheikh Omar Jeng and that he should allow them to take me. One of them then took hold of my middle left finger and bent it until it broke. My finger is still swollen and I have not been given any medical treatment for it. One of them then said to me “Will you go or not” and I said “Yes but I am afraid of you”. Another one said “Don’t waste time because a lot more are coming”. That was when they jumped on top of me and tried to remove my clothes and when I resisted they pulled my clothing and tore it removing same from my body. I was left naked except for a short wrapper I wore underneath my clothing.” Nogoi was taken to another room where she was clobbered like an animal and told “you will cry until your mouth tears up and no one will hear you.” The masked torturers left her whole body “damaged and bleeding.” Nogoi also attested having massaged badly tortured Solo Sandeng until he fell asleep. But Sandeng was taken for another round of torture resulting to his death. He was left lying on the grass like the way he was born. Unfortunately, Jeng left out all these vital information on his sworn affidavit. The new Spin Master only wrote that Solo Sandeng died in custody. He failed to answer how and why the opposition activist met his sudden death, though one Dr. Lamin Sanyang attributed it to resuscitation problems. Sir Jeng is believed to be an interesting character who leads prayers in a Banjul mosque. He is not alone in this double personality of being a nice, pious man in public but a secret sadistic devil in the dark. This is the exact character of Yahya Jammeh. Jeng is said to have hailed from a very good family. Our ources said Jeng battled for survival in 2006 after he had participated in a brutal torture. He was bailed out by a marabout in Baddibou and had since refused to beat anyone, come rain or thunder. Whether Saihou Jeng tells the truth or not doesn’t matter in a case that has exposed the Gambia government’s disrespect for human life. Gambians will decide what type of punishment the likes of Jeng deserve in a post-Jammeh Gambia. Ends

Will The Stata Produce Sandeng,s Body Today

There are two court cases today. One is that of Lawyer Darboe and the April 16 protesters and the second is the habeas corpus application on behalf of Solo Sandeng.
Notwithstanding all the paper evidence pointing to the state admitting killing Solo Sandeng. Today is the D-day that Jammeh's henchmen and lawyers will formally tell UDP lawyers in an open court room full of Gambians that 'indeed Solo died under their custody'.
Dictator Jammeh was said to sneak out of Gambia 2 days ago secretly. However he may have sneaked back in.
It will be a landmark case for the state to for the first time testify in a Gambian court and admit killing a Gambian. Lets hope dictator Jammeh and his men attend court today.
Antouman Gaye and other lawyers will attend that case. Or will the regime produce Solo alive as some of their counterintelligence team led people to believe? Today is the D-day in Banjul.
The state will also rest their case should they not be able to produce any further evidence in Darboe and co case.
Supporters travelling to the court as usual.

NIA Blew Fan To Revive Solo

The murder story of Gambian opposition activist continues to peel off in bits and pieces.

Solo Sandeng was beaten to death at the headquarters of the National Intelligence Agency on April 15th. The government has confirmed that the man who led over two dozens of protesters demanding for electoral reforms ahead of December general elections, died in state custody. The Jammeh regime quickly buried Solo like “a dog” without explaining how he had died, forcing journalists to embark on truth searching mission.

All our sources conformed that Solo died of brutal and inhumane tortureconcernin. “He was tortured until he had passed out,” one NIA operative said. “Solo was unresponsive and was then taken to Saihou Jeng’s office where a fan was blown on him for sometime because torturing agents thought he needed air to start breeding.”

After seeing no signs of breeding, the agents became so concerned that they called Lamin Sanyang, the agency’s doctor to examine Solo. Dr. Sanyang told the agents that he had died earlier on.

Under the command of Director Jeng, the man who coordinated the brutal torture sessions, Solo’s lifeless, naked body was thrown into a vehicle and ferried to Tanji for secret burial.

Like all other torture sessions, that of Solo was also video recorded, burnt on CDs and sent to President Yahya Jammeh to satisfy his bruised ego.

Sir Jeng Collapsed After Solo,s Death

.
The intelligent operative who coordinated the brutal torture of April 14th peaceful protesters has passed out shortly after he presided over the secret burial of Ebrima Solo Sandeng, Kairo News investigation has uncovered. Mr. Sandeng, an executive member of the opposition United Democratic Party, was tortured to death and buried at the National Intelligence Agency outpost at Tanji village in Kombo North.

Saihou Jeng (alias Sir Jeng), the NIA Director of Operations, coordinated the brutal tortures of the protesters who included three women. One of the tortured married women passed out and peed blood for several days, fueling murmurs that she might have been sexually abused.

The tortures had left their negative impact on some genuine spy agents who have since started spilling the beans, for they don't want to live with the sin of not exposing the true story of an innocent man who died in a callous manner. They promise to peel off Solo Sandeng's story in piecemeal.

Going by their account, Sir Jeng coordinated the entire torture sessions perfectly but he had his own battle to wrestls with. He passed out soon after Solo Sandeng's remains were buried. The Kaur native soon started shaking continuously. He then became unconscious and fell on the ground. Jeng was bundled into the car and rushed to the hospital where doctors diagnosed him with trauma resulting from rude shock.

Our sources would not fathom why the same Saihou Jeng who was at the center of it all lied in the court affidavit.

Solo Buried Under A Cashew Tree In Tanji NIA Camp

Details are emerging on the cold-blooded murder of Ebrima Solo Sandeng, although in bits and pieces. Contrary to the widely held belief that the former United Democratic Party Organising Secretary was tortured to death by agents of the feared national spy agents. Most Gambians believe that Mr. Sandeng, whose only crime was to lead more than two dozen youths to stage a peaceful protest trumpeting for electoral reforms ahead of December general elections, was murdered by President Yahya Jammeh’s hit squad. The Junglers have their hands cleaned this time around.
It took the Gambia government two months to confirm that Sandeng died in state custody.  The confession was contained in the government’s reply to protesters lawyer’s habeas corpusapplication, requesting Solo to be produced. An affidavit signed by the Director of Operation at the National Intelligence Agency, Saihou Jeng, fell short of how the opposition activist died. There was no mention of efforts being made to ascertain the cause of the death. This contravenes the Constitution that the state establish a Coroner’s Inquest to investigate how and why a detainee dies in state custody. Jeng should have admitted to the world that after coordinated the torture, killing and burial of Ebrima Solo Sandeng he felt down and was rushed to hospital were he received treatment of traumatic attack.
In their bid to put the public in the dark, Sandeng’s remains were buried as Lawyer Ousainou Darboe put it “like a dog.”
As the coordinator of Sandeng’s brutal torture session at the NIA on April 15th, Saihou Jeng was not brave enough to tell the truth. Despite doing their best to bury facts on Solo’s murder, the story is being uncovered.
Another important aspect of the story is that the killer agents “hastily buried Solo Sandeng under a cashew tree at the Tanji NIA camp.” Solo’s spirits seem to be haunting the killer agents who have started spilling the beans.
Mantawra  has been digging into Solo Sandeng’s gruesome murder. Frantic effects are being made to unveil the coward masked men who tortured Sandeng to death.
